It's the end of January! With almost an entire month of 2018 behind us, it's inevitable that time is obviously passing TOO QUICKLY!

It's even harder to believe that my due date is in just ten days! Some people feel like they've been pregnant forever and although it kinda feels like that these days, this pregnancy with our little girl has flown by and I'm so sad but so happy/excited/anxious/antsy - all these motions balled into one about meeting the little human Jimmy and I created! 💕

I did not do a 37 Week BumpDate as time has obviously gotten away from me, but not much has changed in these last two weeks so I mashed it all into one. Also a heads up - be prepared for belly spam these last two weeks because like I said, I'm going to miss this round midsection and her sharp kicks surprisingly once she's here!

How Far Along: 38 Weeks and 3 Days!
Total Weight Gain: 25 lbs total as of yesterday at my doctor's appointment! I'm putting half of that weight in my poor ankles these days! 😁
Maternity Clothes: Still give me all the stretchy clothes! I pretty much live in the same 3 outfits.
Sleeping: Sleep is life. The End.
Best Moment This Week: Knowing little girl could come any day according to my midwife! 😳💖
Movement:  She's definitely head down and has dropped, but its still a dance party in my belly. I know I'm going to miss these moments so much when she's here!
Food Cravings: No cravings, just hungry. I had the best brownie sundae though this week! Oh mama! 🍦
Sickness or Health: Still have this gross dry cough, and my ankles look they belong to an elephant. That came on quickkkkkk! So I'm drinking more water and trying to eat more fruit. I also have decided BBQ sauce, tomatoes and anything acidic is no longer my friend as I literally want to vomit from the reflux it gives me! 😝
Mood: Moody! Tired! Anxious! All of the above and about 5 million other emotions!
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is the size of a small pumpkin! 🎃
Weekly Milestone: We started our weekly appointments and she progressing just like she should, head down, some dilation and effacement - just so ready to meet my little one!

We started out weekly appointments as of yesterday and maybe TMI but I'm already started to dilate and have effacement which was a very pleasant surprise. I'm trying not to get my hopes up because I know some pregnancies can stay stagnant so I've commenced to drinking as much water, walking and squating as much as I can! I am just so anxious to get labor over with an embrace our little girl as  a family! My midwife says she could come at anytime which has put me into an emotional over load these last two days. 😭 Sorry everyone!

It's pretty crazy how things work out. Jimmy & I have been together for almost ten years and to finally have a baby that has come from equal parts of us is still pretty phenomenal! Growing up I had always envisioned how my life would turn out, how my career would begin, my marriage, my future children, and now that its here and happening, its just amazing to me how our paths have their own plans. We have no other choice but to just adapt & roll with it.

We have been overwhelmed with such love & support from friends and our families, this pregnancy has been such an eye opening and life changing experience! I'm sad that it is coming to an end, but so glad that a new chapter of parenthood is beginning and will continue for the rest of our lives! 💖 So in case we haven't before, we thank you all for being apart of this journey & showing Jimmy and I just how important and precious these moments are!

In the meantime, standby for baby watch!

Hello - hello! We're still alive over here! It's been such a busy week for us and I've yet to find any more motivation than I had last few days so blog posts have been few and far between lately!

I spent the majority of this week helping my sister prep mentally and physically for her wedding yesterday. I treated her to a facial Wednesday, then greeted out of town family Thursday and had our 36 Week check up for Ellie. Her little heartbeat is sitting right at 130 and they said she measuring exactly where she should. I'll be starting my weekly appointments until she comes, yet somehow my next appointment isn't for almost another two weeks because apparently this is baby season. Who knew?

So in the meantime, I'm trying to convince myself I'll know what to do if my water breaks or something crazy, but in reality all I can think about is how I need more nursing bras and whether I'll even know what a contraction feels like. 😁 First time mom problems I guess.

I kind of combined my 36 and 37 week picture together this week. I'm honestly just so tired and you all are probably so tired of hearing how tired I am but hey, this is real life.

How Far Along: 36 Weeks and 6 Days yesterday, 37 Weeks today! 💕
Total Weight Gain: Still sitting at 19lbs - I was told to eat more yesterday at my appointment 😂 I'm pretty sure my midwife didn't mean donuts and spaghetti but hey whatever!
Maternity Clothes: All the stretchy things for the win! And all the pajama pants at night!
Sleeping: Oh my god, all I want to do is sleep. Grocery shopping is exhausting, work is exhausting, hell, sleeping is exhausting!
Best Moment This Week: My sister got married yesterday! 😍
Movement:  She hasn't moved as much as she usually does lately but she's getting bigger and there isn't as much wiggle room as we near the end!
Food Cravings: Anything, I'm just hungry all the time. 🍴
Sickness or Health: Definitely feeling sick more than healthy this week. I had this congestion since Christmas and now I have this gross dry cough all day and night long which is so annoying. I'm just a snotty/coughing mess. Which leads to more exhaust and crankiness!
Mood: Definitely moody! I'm just so tired of coughing and not sleeping and I'm ready to have this little babe in mine and Jimmy's arms already!
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is the size of a honeydew melon! 🍈
Weekly Milestone: We start weekly appointments this week to check on her! 😋

Like I said, my sister got married yesterday! My mom and her spent a whole year planning this special day and I was so happy to see her finally get to marry the man of her dreams! Friday afternoon we got our nails done and had a rehearsal dinner with all of our family and out of town guests then headed back to her hotel suite for a little girls get together.

The simple things in life, like pizza and sparkling cider make everything better I swear! We didn't have to do much to make it a good time which was appreciated. We spent the evening indulging in chocolate, laughing and ironically watching the end of Knocked Up on tv before we all decided to go to bed in preparation for the big day Saturday!

She made the most gorgeous bride and I'm so happy for her and her hubby Brian! I can't think of any any better that loves her the way that he does. I almost cried when he first saw her, it was adorable - almost, as I am definitely not a crier!

My nephew is seven and has taken to Brian in the best way so I am ever so glad to see such a hardworking person come into his life and help mold him into a little gentleman.  You could see his little face light up during the ceremony and it was so sincere the way he smiled at the two of them as they said their vows. I don't think he fully understood everything but I think he understood this was such a great moment for the three of them and I'm so happy to welcome Brian into our family! 😊

As much as a party pooper I've turned into the last few weeks, I stayed out long enough for them to cut the cake - I mean how could I miss that?! And then I made my way home. I was so exhausted I fell asleep immediately!

Today, was spent recovering on the couch. I've had this gross congestion for a few weeks now and I just can't seem to shake it. I've tried everything from Tylenol to humidifiers to oils and its still clear but still gross. I'm just now accumulated this dry cough and little wheeze as night for the past few days which has left me even more sleepless and with a sore ribcage and belly. 😑

I've convinced myself I have a combination of bronchitis, walking pneumonia and I'm on the verge of an umbilical hernia from the coughing. But it seems like everyone is sick with something, mostly viral and I'm the worst about brushing off sickness so I haven't done much reporting to my midwives, just mostly complained to Jimmy and on here. 🙈 (Insert shrugging emoji here <-- )

I'm going to see how the next few days go and if I can't seem to get it any better I'll take myself to urgent care or something. Maybe the coughing will bring on labor? A girl can dream right!

I hope this weekend has treated you all with as many blessings as it has my family! 💘 Until next time!

With only exactly 30 days left of this pregnancy journey left, I'm finding it hard to talk about anything other than how tired I am. I haven't had any motivation to do any blogging this week but have found all the motivation in the world to hid under our comfy duvet cover, sorry guys!

We're already almost halfway through January! And just as I had assumed, this month has flown by already! Please time, slow down! Not much excitement this week - Jimmy & I have been working a lot in prep for little girls arrival. I'll have roughly 10ishhhh weeks off after she is born so I've been mentally prepping myself for the changes that are about to ensue over those two and a half months off. 😁

That moment when you realize your having a baby, yeahhh that moment was this week. So if you didn't know by now, we're having a damn baby!

Like I mentioned above, my blogging motivation has been at an all time low, so a 35 Week selfie will have to do instead of my normal belly bump. This is one of the rare times this week I actually put some effort into looking semi-decent. I put on some makeup and took a look at my forward facing camera in what felt like ages! 😊

Later on after posting it to social media, it dawned on me that this is probably going to be one of the last selfies I ever take by myself. Its a bittersweet feeling, not just about a stupid selfie but with all the other 'lasts' that are about to ensue. Gone will be the days I can just get up and go - throwing on flip flops and walking out the door. Gone will be the days that I can shop until I literally drop and do it all again the next week. I'm about to ensure on this new chapter in Jimmy & our lives and I'm so excited but also anxious about the changes. Guess thats the beauty in this journey we call life.

How Far Along: 35 Weeks and 6 Days
Total Weight Gain: Still 19lbs as of yesterday, my next appointment is this coming Thursday and the dreaded scale weigh ins! 😖
Maternity Clothes: I live in leggings and my favorite maternity t-shirts from Target while I'm at home. My scrubs bottoms are officially digging into my belly but I figure I'm too late in the game to buy new ones so I'll just have to have little tie string marks from now on every shift. No shame here people.
Sleeping: This week I've slept a lot. A new mom that I'm friends with mentioned one day I'll just be a giant slug pretty much and that moment definitely hit me sometime last week. Aside from working, I don't want to do anything except transition from my bed, to the couch, to the tub and then back to our bed.
Best Moment This Week: We had little girl's bookshelf delivered! 😍
Movement:  Still moving like a wild animal. She loves to sit under my rib cage so it makes it extremely difficult to keep a steady conversation sometimes.
Food Cravings: Unsweetened iced tea - oddly, I can't get enough of it!
Sickness or Health: Aside from the constant sleeping and unable to breathe, I feel good. Just trying to keep moving at work and motivate myself at home these last few weeks.
Mood: I like to think I've been in a good mood. Jimmy and I have been spending a good quality amount of time together despite us both working. He'll get roughly 2 weeks off when she comes so I'm intrigued how our moods will be for those 14 days! 😂
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is the size of spaghetti squash!
Weekly Milestone: We finished off buying all of the registry items from Target that we needed and plan on tackling the Amazon registry next week! I'm hastily trying to organize the rest of her room - and yes, I plan to have a nursery reveal  post sometime soon for those who have asked! 💕

I don't have much planned over the course of the next few weeks, just anticipating this little girl's arrival, while not feeling the least bit guilty if she decided to come early. However, my sister's wedding is this coming Saturday so I guess I'd like for her to stay put until at least the 20th so I can carry out all of my Matron of Honor duties! 💜 In the meantime, I'm steadily drinking my raspberry leaf tea, pineapple juice and walking as much as I can at work!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend - until next time!

Happy New Year from The Morgan Family! 🎉

This year I rang in the New Year at work with the best crew I could ever ask for! We were actually quite busy in the emergency room, so with five minutes left to spare until midnight, we struggled to assemble plastic flutes & open sparkling grape cider bottles for our "champagne toast"! Even though out toast didn't quite happen until fifteen minutes past, it was New Years, the year 2018! 🎇 And in a unit where it consists of controlled chaos, New Years was whatever time we made it!

This week had been a busy one for our house! I work in a field that never stops - no, not even for holidays. Sometimes a blessing and yes, sometimes feels like a curse, I celebrated New Years Eve and a portion of New Years Day taking care of people who weren't having such a hot start to this new year while Jimmy went back to work this past Tuesday after a little winter vacation. We also had little girls 34 Week check up this past Wednesday and let me tell you this girl is growing as well as this belly!

Our BumpDate is almost a day late but hey, I'm tired and didn't really care to put any effort into this week's picture. 😴 This is real life people, get a good look at it! Sorry, not sorry but this third trimester thing is exhausting!

This week's BumpDate:

How Far Along: 34 Weeks and 7 Days
Total Weight Gain: I've officially gained 19lbs as of Wednesday! It's all belly my doctor says and that little girl is growing like a weed so not to worry!
Maternity Clothes: This is what I wear on a daily basis ↑ 😬 fashionable right?!  I literally change from scrubs, to pajamas to leggings and t-shirts during the day. Nothing else feels comfortable and putting any effort into outfits has become a chore and honestly, I'm not interested.
Sleeping: Oh man! I sleep non-stop these days. It crept up on me something fierce! Still having some trouble getting to sleep but once I am, I sleep for 10+ hours every single time, no problem! 😴
Best Moment This Week: Welcoming 2018 & looking back as such a wonderful 2017!
Movement:  Still wiggling like theres no tomorrow. She loves to sit under my right ribs which makes breathing a taddddddd bit difficult sometimes.
Food Cravings: I'm really into pineapple, the Little Cuties tangerines and waffles this week. 🍊🍍
Sickness or Health: I think I'm finally on the tail end of the congestion train I had been riding the last few weeks. Fingers crossed for smooth sailings over the next few to come!
Mood: I'm trying to keep it together, but these last few weeks have been pretty rough adjusting to welcoming a new baby soon. I have a lot of different emotions running through my mind constantly, so just trying to take it one step at a time. The panic is slowly starting to sink in that life is about to change completely!
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is the size of a cantaloupe this week! 🍈
Weekly Milestone: I finally ordered the final piece to the nursery - her bookshelf! It had been on backorder at Target for the LONGEST time! But I finally got it today with only 5 left in stock! 😝 I promise a full nursery reveal post for those who've asked as soon as we get everything hung and arranged.

For the last few years, I've really enjoyed putting together these photo collages to look back on while highlighting some of my favorites from the year before and I found that this year it was so hard to narrow it down to just these shown! We kept ourselves very busy and accomplished so much this past year I can't wrap my head around it. Pretty much all of my friends got married to their soulmates, Jimmy and I both graduated with our Bachelor's degrees, we started new jobs...the list goes on and on! And as time continues to pass, I can only keep my fingers crossed that life continues to be kind to us while we do our best to live it each day to the fullest!

As the days count down until little Ellie gets here and as we approach our first FULL week into this new year, I find it so bittersweet to look back at all of the amazing memories made in 2017 with friends & family! I still can't believe another year has gone and soon we will be welcoming a little babe into our mix! 💜 This year has definitely been one for the books! So many new marriages celebrated, vacations took, and of course milestones to remember as a family!

In closing, I hope that you all have had a great start to this year and may it continue to bless you & yours! 💕
