It's the last weekend of October! 😭 And I know I've said it over and over again, but where the heck is the time going?! We're trying to soak up as much as this 'Fall Weather' as we can down here while its still 'cool'. We had a few days where the weather was in the mid 70's and all I wanted to do was lounge in the backyard with the dogs taking in all the smells and cooler air! 🍂 Then in true Florida fashion the rain came and made everything wet again!

This week was really good for us, Jimmy was away on business for the majority of it and I kept busy with the house and continued to clear stuff out and organize! We also took my nephew to SeaWorld on Sunday and had an amazing time at their SpookTacular event 👻 (thats another post in itself). Jimmy and I wanted to check out a ranch thats about an hour away with a giant corn maze and hay rides but decided we should probably just wait until next year when our little one is here and the weather isn't as rainy. I already have so many things that I want to do with her and Jimmy this time next year! I can't wait for her year of firsts!

Here's our 24 Week Bumpdate:

How Far Along: 24 Weeks and 6 Days
Total Weight Gain: +4 lbs - She's officially 'popped'. I woke up one morning and had this belly! ↑😳
Maternity Clothes: I recently bought two dresses but they are legit circus tents on me so I'll be returning them. I also bought my baby shower dress this week! SWOON! 😻 Praying it fits how I like! Other than that, still living in scrubs, leggings, tank tops and sports bras.
Sleeping: Still having trouble falling asleep at night, I'm contributing to my mid shift at work and her wild workouts at 3AM.
Best Moment This Week: Going to a dinner party with babe for his job, & having my mom's amazing neighbor capture these photos for us! ↕ 💜💜💜
Movement: She moves a lot! Jimmy finally felt her moving and I almost cried - like, WE made her! It's such an amazing feeling!
Food Cravings: No cravings this week, but I've got homemade minestrone soup, potato & corn chowder, and cod and asparagus on the menu for the next few days! Trying to pack in some veggies while enjoying some Fall recipes. We've been on an eating at home kick lately.
Sickness or Health: I've been feeling really good, I'm just really tired some mornings after I work and my stomach has been feeling SUPER tight at time which isn't pleasant. Unavoidable, but it does NOT feel good!
Mood: Happy & thankful for the little things, I've had some patients at work this week that have really made me thank my lucky stars for all the small things in our life! 💞 It really could be much, much worse!
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is the size of a cantaloupe this week, Jimmy laughed when I pointed this out while grocery shopping this morning. 🍈
Weekly Milestone: I would say having Jimmy feel her moving, like I said its so crazy to think that we made her, and I can't wait to see her when she's born and show us her personality as she grows!

As I mentioned earlier, we were so lucky that my mom's neighbor snapped these photos of us and captured this moment in my pregnancy. They aren't anything fancy but I am in absolute love with them because we're so genuinely happy and excited about our little girl and I think it shows in the photos! Which was complete opposite of how I was feeling that morning. I was an absolute wreck because this was the morning she officially popped as everyone warned me she would. I had planned on wearing an outfit that would no longer button and I was mad because everything I tried on at the mall fit terrible in my eyes. I've been lucky as told by others that until just now, I haven't even looked pregnant. But honestly adjusting to a new body every day is pretty hard when your so used to seeing your old body the same way for so long! 😓

So it's safe to say when I saw these photos later that night I felt so stupid for feeling so self-conscious! I didn't care that under my sweater my pants were being held together with two elastic hair ties and that my bra was probably wayyyy to tight! No details barred people, pregnancy is no joke! Thankfully, we haven't had any issues so far, and keeping my fingers crossed for an even smoother finish!

I give props to all the moms out there who do this baby after baby and even sometimes back to back. As much as I have enjoyed and even sometimes not enjoyed being pregnant, I don't know if pregnancy is for me, which is completely okay in my eyes. I'm happy and content with our little family to come. Maybe one day I'll eat my words and have another but for now, I'm content. We only have 16 Weeks left, so here's to soaking up every moment that I can with her still inside my belly cooking away! 💕

It is no secret to anyone who knows me that I practically live at Target! So naturally when I discovered that Target was offering their very own version of a baby box in July, I had to get my hands on one! I was pleasantly pleased with the first baby box I received (see end of this post for details ↓) that when I saw Target was offering another baby boy this month, I didn't hesitate to order another one! 🙈

Target Baby Box October

Just to address the topic, this review is true to my own opinion and is non-sponsored in any way.  I truly enjoy that Target offers this sort of box for moms and moms-to-be and I think for the price of $7.00, it is of extremely good value! Just like the baby box that was delivered in July, it came in a cute golden polka dot box delivered right to my mailbox! Upon opening the baby box, you'll find all the goodies come wrapped in tissue paper and an information card lays directly on top to help navigate the different products and samples. It also comes with a $10 off of $50 purchase in the baby department! 😍 The coupon is good until the end of the year and can be combined with Cartwheel offers as well. Winning!

Target Baby Box October

Inside the box, were eight different samples and products. These included:

- one full size BabyGanics foaming hand sanitizer 1.69 fl oz
- one trial size of The Honest Co. face and body lotion 0.75 fl oz
- one trial size of Mommy's Bliss probiotic drops 0.20 fl oz (15 servings)
- one package of Seventh Generation Coconut Care Wipes (20 wipes)
- one trial size of Johnson & Johnson's Bedtime Baby Bath 3 fl oz
- one sample size of Oilogic Stuffy Nose & Cough Roll On Essential Oil Blend 0.07 fl oz (6-8 servings)
- one trial size of Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment 0.35 fl oz
- one full size Honest Beauty Facial Gel Cleanser 2.0 fl oz (for the moms!)

Target Baby Box October

Most of these products and samples I received in the baby box are some of many that I have already received as gifts and that I have registered for so I am pretty excited to have these samples that I can touch and smell and use before rubbing them all over my newborn! I hope I'm not the only weird new mom-to-be that gets excitement from baby samples! 😁💝

Like I had mentioned earlier, some of these products are full size and retail for over $7.00 already so the cost of the box already covers the cost of just one product. The coupon and the samples are just some of the many perks that this box comes with as well. Personally, I probably won't have a single clue to what my new little babe likes or I prefer until she gets here but I'm excited to see all the different products available and kind of start brainstorming what products I want to use over others. I will also point out that I like that some of these products come in smaller packaging which I think will be helpful when packing her diaper bag. I won't have to lug around these giant packages or bottles of product along with a carrier and a newborn. Another win!

Compared to the last baby box I ordered in July ↓ (see below), there was a vast variety of products and had some of the top must-have brands included as well. I have used the Method laundry detergent already to help wash with some of her newborn clothes, bibs and some of her crochet blankets that I was gifted. And I really liked the full size Honest Company hand sanitizer, I have started carrying it around in my purse because I love the Lavender fragrance! 💜 It also came with free & clear wipes from Seventh Generation, samples from Dove, Mustela, AVENT, Triple Paste and Cetaphil baby. Again, all samples I can see coming in handy when we're out and I don't want to carry around a mass amount of stuff!

Target Baby Box

Another great perk that I almost forgot to mention with these baby boxes are that Target offers them without any sort of contract or subscription. So if you don't like what you see that particular month, you have no obligation to continue or buy into another month automatically if you don't want too! So far, I have seen Target offering these boxes in the the months of April, July and October and I was notified via email from Target 🎯 and a website I follow for great baby deals that is updated frequently found here.

I fully support these boxes and love receiving them in the mail! It's like a pretty gift addressed just for me! 😃 I will tell you that they are only offered in limited quantities and for a limited amount of time so if you haven't looked into them yet for your little or for a new mom I highly recommend it! The baby boxes can be found here on the Target website and it ships for free. I received mine in about a week's time and I was even allowed to used my Target Debit RedCard with allowed for an additional 5% savings on the box as well. It took care of most of the taxes on the box and my total was just a little over $7.00. I hope this review was informative and showed a little insight to some of the products I'm excited to use when my little girl gets here! 💕

We're rolling right along here into Week 23! This week has been pretty mundane around our household. Jimmy and I have been working a lot and have been on different schedules which has made for a quick but uneventful week. 😁 He's prepping for a business trip this week and I'm prepping for five days off with nothing to do. Such is life.

Our picture this week is pretty comical if I may say so myself. Truthfully, we threw it together this morning and had a friend snap it while she was over our house! This whole bump date is pretty mashed together honestly. We're tired and I was wearing leggings and a t-shirt right before this. But this is real life people. This is our life day to day with a little on the way. Such a small task of taking a weekly photo has become just that these days, another task and it's getting harder and harder to keep up with our working schedules. I didn't even check to make sure we both looked okay or notice the Jimmy's RB face, so here it is, 23 weeks in the flesh! 😂 It doesn't get any realer than this. Heck, Jimmy isn't even wearing shoes!  I can only imagine our little gal will inherit her dad's good looks and attitude when it comes to family photos! (Insert shrug emoji here <----)

I'm starting to show more and I can feel her moving so much more as the weeks go on. It's so crazy how there is legit a living, breathing baby in there growing away! My next appointment isn't until next month and then we'll have just ONE more monthly appointment left before we start appointments every two weeks until she gets here!  She'll be here before we know it, for heaven's sake its almost November! Time is happening wayyyy to fast for my liking! 😭

How Far Along: 23 Weeks and 6 Days
Total Weight Gain: +2 lbs - She's starting to FINALLY poke out! 💓
Maternity Clothes: I caved and bought two dresses from PinkBlush Maternity online. My sister's bridal shower is coming up quick and I have two weddings we're attending in November! 👰
Sleeping: I have had the worst time falling asleep this week. 😭
Best Moment This Week: Having the next few days off to clean the house and binge Netflix episodes.
Movement: She's moving pretty much all the time. She immediately stops the moment Jimmy tries to feel though!
Food Cravings: Breakfast burritos! I have a guilty habit of buying them once a week when I get off shift at 3AM. 🙈
Sickness or Health: I've been feeling pretty good but lately I've had some headaches so I'm trying to drink more water. Probably not helping my salt intake with my burrito cravings!
Mood: I've been moody lately, <---- guilty!
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is the size of an ear of corn this week.
Weekly Milestone: We received her glider in the mail ↓ , we just have to pick out some little odds & ends and her room will be complete! Stay tune for a nursery post closer to her due date! 💖

Amongst the craziness of working, I did come home to a nice surprise, baby's glider came in the mail! Kudos for Target's quick delivery! I ordered it Sunday afternoon and it was here the very next day! I heard knocking on the door at 9AM after working a long night shift and I said, ahh heck with that and went back to bed. Low and behold as I was walking out the door, I ran smack dab into a HUGE box. Jimmy had to take it out of the box just to get in the house because it wouldn't fit in the doorframe!

This week Target had a major baby sale offering gift cards for $100 and $250 purchases, so it was a no brainer when I signed on to their website and saw this glider marked down an additional $45 dollars. We have been very fortunate to have been able to buy the things we wanted for our daughter's room at such great prices, we have stayed well beneath under our budget so far!

This weekend has been a lazy one for us for sure, like I said I have been living in leggings and pajamas and plan to for the rest of the time being until I go back to work Wednesday. Jimmy will be gone the majority of this week so I plan to do a full house cleaning if the dogs cooperate. I wish the cool weather would cool down, we're been having high temperatures still and lots of rain! ☔💧We are taking my nephew to SeaWorld tomorrow for their fall event, and as expected it's supposed to be hot & rainy, I'll be packing my rain jacket in hopes of staying dry! 😳

I hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend as the holidays are approaching us so quickly! 💕 Here's to 24 Weeks as of tomorrow!

Happy Sunday everyone! I've beginning to notice a pattern in my postings, its become a lot easier to be more consistent now that I don't have school to worry about. 😊 This week has been pretty smooth. I can't say it enough how fast time feels like its going! It's already mid October! What?! It's so exciting but also so nerve wrecking that soon the holidays will be here and then my sister's wedding and THEN we're going to have a baby! Heres to the end of Week 22 and cheers to the beginning of Week 23! 🍼

How Far Along: 22 Weeks and 6 Days
Total Weight Gain: +1 lb - Starting to get a little baby bump!
Maternity Clothes: I haven't bought any so far but Zuilly is mighty tempting -  I can no longer fit comfortably in any jeans and linen shorts have become my best friend in this Florida heat! Scrubs are still fitting! 😋
Sleeping: Sleeping pretty well, I'm finding its hard to get comfortable to actually get to sleep a night.
Best Moment This Week: Feeling her move like crazy and having other people feel her too!
Movement: She's a wiggle worm for sure. It's almost distracting how much she moves! 😂
Food Cravings: Homemade meals - I've been making everything! Ziti, chicken noodle soup, veggie fajitas! Yum!
Sickness or Health: Feelings pretty good, no complaints!
Mood: Nesting for sure, I've been on a baby laundry kick ever since we bought a new washer.
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is discovering her flexion and extension, which probably explains why she's such a mover!
Weekly Milestone: Jimmy put together all of her furniture 😍 Next stop glider!

Little Pumpkin! 🎃

I finished up decorating this week around the house! There are pumpkins and fall flowers and candles everywhere you look. I'm pretty sure Jimmy is in an apple, pumpkin, fall, fleece, gourd coma every time he walks into then house! 🙈 I'm a firm believer in having seasons, so living in Florida has grown quite hard for me once September rolls around. Its a constant 80+ degree heat with the exception of four or five 'cold' days. It's definitely hard trying to get into a festive spirit when weather plays such a huge roll, so improvising with as many pumpkins and cinnamon sticks I can find kinda, sorta makes up for it!

Pumpkin spice & everything nice!

The rest of the month seems as if it will fly by just as quickly as the first half. I'm prepping for my sister's bridal shower the first week of November and we are attending two weddings next weekend, so The Morgan family will definitely be on the move! And then we're taking on SeaWorld's Spooktacular holiday event with my nephew! It makes me so excited to think about all the cool things I'll be able to do next year with our little girl! So much to do this Fall season, its truly a time to be thankful and prep for Thanksgiving! 💕

I think one of the most exciting things about having a baby besides creating a new life is decorating their nursery for them! Who else agrees with me? Ever since we found out that we were welcoming a baby girl, I have gone through countless pins on Pinterest and searched websites far and wide for the perfect nursery decor essentials. I was pleased to see that IKEA offered many products that I thought would fit the picture of what I had envisioned as well as at an affordable price for our growing family. 😋

To be honest, I had a list a mile long of stuff that I had seen online on IKEA's and on Pinterest that looked so unique and practical, I thought I just have to have it all! I'm a visual person. I need to see items and look at them and move them around, so IKEA's showrooms proved the best playground for me to do just that. With her crib bought and a room size rug checked off her ever growing nursery inventory, I knew for sure I could not leave without crossing more items off the list. I mean come one, its IKEA!

I can't wait to show you all the goodies we came home with! To see the rest of her nursery ambiance, check it out HERE!
Let me tell you a little secret, this dresser is IKEA's best kept secret! The crib that Jimmy and I bought from Target matches PERFECT to this Hemnes Dresser. ↑ We bought the Simmons 4-1 Crib a few weeks ago in the Rustic Grey and I was just not digging the matching dresser in the collection. It had six drawer and a little changing table on top but girls need things, lots of things and that just wasn't going to work. I found this dresser in Dark Stained Grey on Pinterest and was familiar with the Hemnes collection at IKEA because our entertainment center is in that same collection and we just LOVE it! I was so pumped to see that for the same price of the Target Simmons Dresser, I could get double the amount of drawers and put a changing table on top leaving plenty of room for a diaper caddy, wipe warmer, and all the other misc. first time mom needs! 😊

For anyone looking into this same brand and color of crib, I urge you to check out this matching dresser to get more bang for your buck! I can't wait to see it put together next to her crib! 💖

I had also seen on countless Pinterest ideas on organizing dressers and closets in nurseries, but before now, I have been so lax about stuff like that. As long as it looked neat, I didn't care where stuff found a home. However, now that I'm finding a plethora of new stuff finding its way into our home, I'm feeling the pressure to make sure every item has a place. Luckily for me, these organizers fit perfectly into each drawer of the Hemnes dresser.

For anyone interested, I bought a total of six packages with hopes that it would be enough to fit each of the twelve drawers. Any left over, I thought I can always use in the spare bathroom for her extra bath stuff. Like these cute little hooded towels I could not just pass up! ↑ Good thing she can use them until she's well into her toddler years, I'll just add them to the rest of her bath collection we've seemed to accumulate over the past few months. 😂 IKEA also had these sweet little rattles that have the crunchy, wrinkle fabric that I'm obsessed with! I don't know if I'm the only mother-to-be out there that thought of my future kid throwing these around in the car and out of her stroller with pure joy in my head!

Wondering through the countless displays and different rooms, I couldn't help but scoop up these gems the moment I saw them! ↑ The succulent picture isn't as bright as its portrayed online but still a perfect addition to her room! 🌿 I think the color in the poster and the utility cart will help dull down some of the pink on the nursery walls and the grey of the furniture. Again, following the Pinterest craze, I saw some really awesome organization going on with this utility cart ranging from breastfeeding supplies to holding blankets and diapers. I thought it would be good to have so we can wheel it from room to room if we needed too.

I must've taken pictures of a hundred different things I'll probably go back for. If you haven't been to an IKEA, they have pretty much anything and everything you could think of for every room! Prices are cut because of the self-assembly and warehouse style purchasing. It is the best thing ever to come to shopping! We also picked one heck of a time to go because they were offering a 15% OFF discount for everything purchased from the IKEA stores located in Florida! 😍 I will warn you ahead of time, unless you know what you're going in for, plan to set aside a block of at least a few hours to explore and grab lunch midway through shopping!

We will be definitely be making another trip back before Baby Morgan arrives! The nesting is real people! I also want to thank my mom and dad because they have been so amazing and wouldn't us buy a single thing during checkout! With the help of my sister and soon to be brother-in-law, we loaded up our goodies and can't wait to shower our little girl with the most perfect room! We have truly been blessed with this baby and all the love from everyone! 💕 Life is good!

Until next time IKEA!

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope this weekend is treating you all just as nice as it has been treating me and my family. We've had a pretty exciting week over here at the Morgan household! We got to see our baby girl at my appointment this past Thursday and I have fallen in absolute love! She is officially the size of a carrot and has been moving around like crazy! It's such a wild feeling having her kick and move around from the inside! 😁💕

Major photo credit to my friend Alex for this AMAZING photo!
I couldn't stand to add any weekly baby filters to it on my Instagram account!

How Far Along: 21 Weeks and 6 Days
Total Weight Gain: Finally back to my original pre-pregnancy weight, my doctor was happy about that.
Maternity Clothes: Still living in dresses for everyday attire and scrubs for work. 😁
Sleeping: Starting to favor my left side more, I'm usually a back sleeper. Plus I have to pee ALL. the. time!
Best Moment This Week: Getting to see our little babe on the ultrasound machine. 😍↓
Movement: She's moving so much more! I can sometimes see my stomach moving from the outside when she does, so crazy!
Food Cravings: No cravings, just trying to eat more balanced now that I'm back to my original weight. 🍏🍓🍤
Sickness or Health: No vomiting but I have felt more sinus pressure and have started to wake up feeling stuffy every morning.
Mood: Still purging our house of the unnecessary stuff we've accumulated over the years. I'm on my 4th trip to GoodWill. 😜
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is developing fingerprints and toe prints!
Weekly Milestone: Hoping to buy her dresser from IKEA next week & order her bookshelf so I can put her things away, our closet is bursting!

Our appointment was everything we could've hoped for! The ultrasound tech said she weighs about a pound already which is still so unbelievable to me. I always used to think that before I got pregnant I would be so much bigger than I am. I'm really shocked and hope it will help me bounce back to a healthy weight when she finally comes! It may change when she does arrive, but I plan for us to do a lot of neighborhood walking. My doctor said everything looks great! She has all of her fingers & toes and she's actually measuring a week EARLY! 😳 The technician switched the ultrasound to 4D and she has fuller lips like I do and her nose is spot on to Jimmy's. SWOONNN!

I was a little freaked out at first hearing she might come sooner but then I figured she'll come when she's ready, and whats really a week in reality. I just feel a little guilty because I'm supposed to be in my sister's wedding at the end of January, two weeks prior to my due date. At her fitting, we reassessed our options and found a dress that gives in the waist and just to be sure we ordered it two sizes larger than what I'm wearing now. I guess better to be bigger than too small! Just keeping my fingers crossed we both make it to the alter! 😖

Other than work and planning for my sister's bridal shower next month, we're planning to take my nephew to SeaWorld this month for their SpookTacular event and I plan to finishing decorating our front porch for Fall tomorrow. Our local Lucky's Market had a large pumpkin selection, more than I've even seen at local patches and I literally bought twelve pumpkins. Sorry, I'm not sorry! I love Fall and I feel like it's so downplayed in Florida because it's so ungodly hot here. So stay tuned for pictures of the final product! 👻

In my entire life, I've never felt as threatened for my every day safety as I do now. What is happening in this world of ours? The golden rule, the ten commandments, what happened to the basis of humanity? We are literally killing ourselves. As a human race, we are choosing extinction instead of choosing life. Gone are the days where you can walk shopping malls, attend concerts or even see a late night movie without searching for an exit plan in fear of the unimaginable happening. It has become the new world we live in, a sad, terrible new world.

As I prepare to bring my own child into this world, I can't help but fear for the day that I won't be able to protect her because of someone else's actions. I fear for the day that I have to explain to her why other people make the choice to hurt others physically and emotionally. I fear for the day that she realizes the world isn't the world she thought it was. I fear those days. And I have great reason to as this is no longer the world I thought was safe for people to live peacefully in.

Typically, I am not one to comment on the issues occurring. Unfortunately, there is heartache and disaster because of circumstances we can not control but what I refuse to tolerate are the circumstances we can control. I urge whoever reads this to just take a look around and be thankful for what you do have instead of what you don't. Hug your loved ones. Be kind to everyone no matter what your perception is of them or their situation. We are all human beings, we all feel. We are all living, breathing creatures who are capable of doing the most amazing things if we all worked together.

There are no words to describe the sorrow or shock relating to the events occurring these past few months, heck even years. Hurricanes, shootings, disrespectfulness, it just all needs to end. Imagine the good that could occur if we all just helped each other. I hope these words find a special place where they can grow into positivity for someone out there because I don't want to live in a sad world anymore.
