Theres only two more days left in 2017! πŸ˜“ I knew this part of the year was going to FLY BY and its so bittersweet to say good-bye to another year to welcome a new one in just a few short days!

Things are obviously a lot different this time around from last year - we're almost done baking a baby! 😬 This holiday season has just added to the blur of time but we had a very nice Christmas spent with friends and family here in Florida while missing our family in Connecticut. Last year we were attending ugly sweater parties, this year we're wearing our ugly sweater to Christmas dinner! Oh how things have changed! Pretty much the only excitement around here as we're nearing 34 Weeks tomorrow!

Here's to a new BumpDate!

How Far Along: 33 Weeks and 6 Days
Total Weight Gain: I think I'm back up to around +16 this week according to my scale, I'm eating pretty much everything in sight. BUTTT seeing that flat belly up there is pretty motivating for after delivery! πŸ˜–
Maternity Clothes: Still living in leggings, converse and comfy clothes. My belly is so tight these days that anything constricting is just ANNOYING!
Sleeping: HA! What is sleep? Between her kicking me all night long, having to pee, and having the WORST congestion since Christmas - I'm pretty sure I'm ready for these upcoming sleepless nights! πŸ’€
Best Moment This Week: Spending time with Jimmy on my "off" days and feeling her move around.
Movement:  Moving...all around, all the time. πŸ˜›
Food Cravings: Ugh my diet has been so bad! This week Jimmy and I meal planned and we've vowed that we're both going on a diet (breastfeeding friendly for me of course) after she arrives! 🍳🍴🍡 But oh so ready to get back to pre-baby!
Sickness or Health: TMI - but so much snot. I can not clear my sinuses to save my life. Had a bit of nausea and gross vomiting too Wednesday but still congested so bad that everything has become unbearable.
Mood: Obviously, complaining has become part of my daily schedule, but I'm just trying to remain positive and soak in these last few weeks of her being in my belly before she's here! πŸ’–
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is the size of a pineapple this week! 🍍
Weekly Milestone: Jimmy has started her closet from scratch! 😜 It's back to chaos in the nursery but I'm so excited to see it finished & put away the rest of her stuff!

We don't have much planned for the rest of the year, I'm going to be working these last two days so while I ring in the New Year in the ER,  Jimmy will probably be ringing in 2018 from our bed, asleep with the dogs! πŸ˜‚

I'm going to miss the holidays, it's always my favorite part of the year! We had the most Charlie Brown tree this season but I must say it was definitely my favorite that Jimmy and I have ever had. I had plans to completely redo all of our Christmas Decor this year but yeahhh, that didn't happen - hence our handful of ornaments on the tree! πŸŽ„Maybe we'll try again next year?

In the meantime, I hope that you all enjoy the remaining moments of 2017 and welcome 2018 with as much joy and excitement as we plan too here at The Morgan Household!

Can I first start out by saying that this day was an absolute dream?! To date, the day of my baby shower had to have been at least top five of the greatest moments in my life - no joke! My friend Alex, who is utterly amazing! Seriously, she has the best touch behind the camera lens, and she took these stunning pictures of the shower and I can't rave or thank her enough for capturing such a special day for Baby Eleanor and I! πŸ’

The love we felt from family and friends is a feeling I will never forget and I honestly can't explain to you the overwhelming joy I felt the entire time! My very best friends Ali & Sabrina definitely put on a shower to remember & I will forever be thankful for this special day! I can't thank everyone enough for coming out and showering Baby Eleanor and I with such love!

Enough of me babbling, I should just let the pictures do the talking! 😍

Feeling all of the shower love! ☔

Thank you girls so very much for the most beautiful day! πŸ’•

Again, I can't thank my friends or my family enough for the outpouring love that I felt that day - you all truly made it so special! From the moment I walked into the restaurant and even now looking back, I am immediately back on cloud nine with euphoria and such joy! Jimmy & I are so blessed to have each and everyone of you all in our lives and we can't wait to show our daughter the love that you all showered us with the day of our baby shower! Pictures are the only way to show how beautiful this day was and even that I feel doesn't even give it full justice! πŸ’ Thank you!

I just wanted to take a moment and wish each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas from my family to yours!

This year has absolutely FLOWN by and I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to me to be able to look back on such amazing memories throughout this blog! I can't wait to see what next year brings for us, starting with our little girl coming in February! 😊

All Our Love,

James, Katie & Eleanor Morgan πŸ’•

Hi everyone! πŸ’— I hope you all are more prepared for this coming holiday than I am! I have seriously been such a slacker this year when it comes to Christmas - I honestly just finished decorating our tree tonight and sent out our Christmas cards & baby shower thank you cards yesterday.  Oops! 🌲 But hey, there's always next year right? I just feel like time is a thing of the past and I'm trying to enjoy the last little bit of it before our daughter comes in just eight short weeks without sweating the rest!

Yesterday we spent the day at SeaWorld with my nephew for their annual Christmas Town event. It was such a good time & I'm so thankful I got to spend some quality time with family and friends this past weekend in Orlando. More on this weekend below & Baby Morgan's 32 Week BumpDate:

How Far Along: 32 Weeks and 2 Days πŸ˜‹
Total Weight Gain: As of my appointment this morning, I actually lost 3 lbs from my last so officially up +13, but she's head down & my midwife says she's growing so they aren't worried.
Maternity Clothes: As you can see, I'm still living in leggings & stretchy shirts. Everything just feels so tight & uncomfortable - I can't wait until I can crawl into thermal legging pajamas and a sports bra at night.
Sleeping: My sleeping is still all over the place - one minute I'm exhausted and the next I'm wide awake. Tonight I fell asleep on the couch at 7pm and was awake and ready to go so I figured I'd knock out this week's BumpDate. 😁
Best Moment This Week: Feeling all of little girl's kicks and squirms, I'm really going to miss these when she's here.
Movement:  Still super active, her feet are attracted to my rib cage!
Food Cravings: No cravings, but my diet has been poor, I just want rice, french fries and bread! 🍞🍟🍚 The struggle is real though!
Sickness or Health: Headaches, exhaustion and achiness are pretty much it. This third trimester has officially began to wear on me.
Mood: I'm very moody! Sorry guys, but I'm just so tired and achy. If I hear one more person say "this is only the beginning" I'm liable to scream. πŸ˜–
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is the size of baby bok choy!
Weekly Milestone: We were gifted Baby's first Christmas ornament! πŸ’• Thank you Aunt Sabrina!

We had such a really nice time this weekend! I love spending time with this little boy and seeing him smile. He is so excited to become a big cousin and it just makes me so happy to see him happy! He was in awe at all the Christmas lights and honestly, so was I! It was absolutely beautiful and it was just what we needed as a family. Florida never feels like Christmas to me because of the weather so it was nice to see everything decorated and feeling festive! 😍 I definitely indulged after all the walking we did - hot chocolate everything please!

Sea of Trees all lit up! They changed colors every few seconds, it was amazing!

Hot chocolate with ALL the whipped cream & marshmallows thanks to my sister!

Seriously, the most BEAUTIFUL tree I've ever seen!

Doing all of these things with family just makes me super excited for next year when we can take our little one with us! Even with all the crying and poor picture taking that may come with it! πŸ˜‚ But until then, I'll be sitting on the couch day dreaming about future family traditions, fighting off this prego headache while drinking some lavender tea! Goodnight everyone! πŸ’œ

You guys! We have 61 days until my due date - WHAT?! How is that even possible?

I can't even begin to tell you about this past weekend! We had such a busy schedule with everything going on but honestly it has been one of the best weekends of my life! I know that once she comes we won't be able to get up and go like we do now, so its nice to be able to create such great memories with friends & family these last few weeks.

We had such a good time at my Christmas party and even though I couldn't part take in all the festivities, Jimmy had a great time and memories were made! Saturday was my baby shower and I am still literally left speechless (more on that below) and then Sunday we celebrated a friend passing her Nurse Practitioner boards! So proud of you Elyse! πŸ’œ We've been on the go, so its been really nice to just relax and reflect on the last few days!

For my 31 Week BumpDate I'm just going to tease you a leeeeeeeettle bit with some pictures from before ↑ and after ↓ the shower, but I promise to show you all how amazing it turned out once I get the photos back, because honestly, words do it NO JUSTICE! 😍

How Far Along: 31 Weeks and 2 Days
Total Weight Gain: Still +16 as of yesterday. I know she's growing, but I absolutely dread the scale at these appointments now. πŸ˜₯
Maternity Clothes:  Still living in my maternity shirts and squeezing into my last pair of jeans. I refuse to buy any jeans this late in the game! πŸ˜‚
Sleeping: My sleep schedule has been all over the place, some days I can't wait to crawl in bed and yesterday I was up at 6AM and didn't go to sleep until midnight!
Best Moment This Week: By far best moment was my baby shower! Still so overwhelmed by the endless love and support from everyone that came - it felt like a dream! πŸ’
Movement:  I've found she's super active when I take a bath - its crazy how much she moves!
Food Cravings: No new cravings this week, just trying to find balance and give little lady everything she needs to continue to grow!
Sickness or Health: Nothing new to report, my next appointment is this coming week.
Mood: Thankful! For such a wonderful support system that never fails me when needed!
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is the size of a coconut! 🌴
Weekly Milestone: Putting away all of this kid's clothes and amazing gifts! We are just so thankful for such amazing friends & family! πŸ’•

Like I had mentioned earlier, I plan to show you exactly all the details and effort put into the shower because of these amazing girls! I seriously can not brag enough how much I love and cherish them!
I am truly lucky to have these once in a lifetime friends (missing a few in this photo).

I also can't believe the overwhelming amount of support & love we felt from everyone that came and shared our special day with us! I just remember walking in and feeling so much emotion from seeing everyone, it was completely surreal! The day felt exactly like a dream that I never wanted to wake up from! πŸ’“ I can't wait to see photos and share them with everyone because honestly, I did not take a single picture. I just wanted to be in the moment and enjoy every single second of it - and believe me, what magical moments they were! I will cherish them for the rest of my life!

I want to thank everyone again for the outpouring love we received this weekend! I can't wait to introduce our daughter to you all so she can see what the true meaning of life is really all about! 😘

December has fallen upon us here in Florida & to be honest, I have no idea what to do with myself! I've said it time and time again, but where the heck is time going and how the heck do we only have 28 days left in 2017?!

I started this blog in February and looking back, I'm so glad that I did! This year has taught me so many important lessons and being able to look back and reminisce in such great memories is truly one of the best things I could've received out of starting Katie Scarlett Chronicles. I have been able to connect with such amazing and genuine people and see their families grow as mine has - it has been a simple reminder that there are still good people out there with similar values that make this world a better place. πŸ’

As you can probably tell, we got our Christmas pictures back! I had originally planned to do a mix of holiday and maternity pictures to save time & a little cash because of the holiday season but I'm not 'as big' as I need to be quite yet. It really just looks like I ate too many bean burritos - which is probably also true. I'm brainstorming a few ideas for a future shoot though!

Our Christmas cards are on their way and I hope they get here before mid December, but if not just know they are coming! We decided to announce little girl's name on them so I'm very anxious for their arrival and to get them on their merry little way! πŸ™Š But in the mean time here is a little sneak peak at some of our photos and our 30 Week BumpDate with Baby Morgan!

In ABSOLUTE LOVE with this one! 😻

How Far Along: 30 Weeks and 2 Days today!
Total Weight Gain: +16 as of my appointment today - I'm really start to DREAD this whole scale thing because I don't know where all this weight is going! 😬
Maternity Clothes:  Absolutely loving the maternity shirts I bought last week! I've officially made the switch from scrub tops to my black t-shirts and lab jackets which makes all the difference at work!
Sleeping: I've becoming more and more tired even though I'm taking my iron supplements - just trying to soak up as much sleep as I can before she gets here! 😴
Best Moment This Week: So far hearing her heartbeat at our appointment this morning but my baby shower is this coming Saturday!
Movement: This little girl is a rolling machine - her new favorite spot is under my right rib!
Food Cravings: I'm not having any cravings but I'm focusing more on fruits and veggies because I'm starting to swell after work and after running errands during the day - laying low on the salt & carbs.
Sickness or Health: Besides feeling tired, I feel pretty good! I'm starting to notice bending down and putting on shoes is soon to be a thing of the past.
Mood: I'm moody this week - I think its because I'm again, tired. I really just want to sleep!
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is the size of a head of cabbage! πŸ’•
Weekly Milestone: Prepping for the shower - I can't wait to see all of our family and friends!

This week has been kinda busy for us and will continue on through the weekend! I worked Saturday through Monday, I was off today and back at it for another two shifts tomorrow & Thursday. My work Christmas party is Friday night, my baby shower is Saturday and we're attending a graduation party on Sunday! I'll be so happy when Monday comes and I can tackle the nursery and start organizing/putting her stuff away, maybe even squeeze in a nap! Nah, most definitely squeezing in a nap.

I'm so excited but also so nervous for my shower! I know its going to be beautiful because I honestly have the greatest friends who are putting in an amazing job and effort getting it all together for us - I can't wait to see everyone and just spend time celebrating little girl with people who mean the most to Jimmy & I. πŸ’– We're having it at a restaurant we love and frequented often before little lady was even a thing. This makes it even more special and I can't wait to share it with you all!

We're also almost ready for Christmas down here! We're supposed to get a major cold front this weekend too which will be really nice because Florida only knows one temperature & thats HOT. I can finally wear some of my 'winter attire'. We just have to hang our Christmas lights outside and finish up some decor for the tree and we're ALL DONE this holiday season! But until then, this pregnant lady is going to relax and find some holiday treats from Pinterest to make over the next few weeks!  If you have any favorites- send them my way! 😘

Happy December from our family to yours!

Am I the only one who isn't feeling the least bit guilty about playing Christmas music 24/7 in their house?! Which I must confess - I'm doing right now! πŸ™ˆ I feel like Thanksgiving is already a thing of the past and Christmas has commenced 110%! This past weekend was honestly one for the books & I can't wait to continue holiday traditions that we have set into place already with our little girl next year!

We picked a name but are waiting until we send out our Christmas cards to friends and family first to make her big debut! We're still debating middle names but hey - it's taken us THIS long to pick a first name so I guess you could say we're making progress! 😊

I finally got the results from my glucose test which thank goodness was a passing result! I stressed and stressed about it until I was a nervous wreck! I did however get unexpected news that I'm anemic and my blood levels are low for what my midwives would like. This would explain the sudden  tiredness I've been feeling these past two weeks & the lack of color in my face. I'm bring the PALE back people. Watch out!

I also want to personally thank the person who came up with filters and photo editing because I can tell you I was not feeling this week's BumpDate photos! ↓ But here it is:

How Far Along: 29 Weeks and 4 Days today! 😌
Total Weight Gain: +13 still, my next appointment is this coming week so I'm anxious to see how much little girl has grown!
Maternity Clothes: Target had a megasale Black Friday so I am LIVING in their maternity tank tops, t-shirts and leggings. This belly is FINALLY starting to make an appearance and making even scrubs uncomfortable!
Sleeping: I've getting to sleep more quickly this week but I'm always so tired - which again now makes sense because of my low iron levels.
Best Moment This Week: We celebrated Friendsgiving Sunday! It was so nice to catch up and just be in good company! πŸ΄πŸ— (See all the yummy recipes we made below ↓ )
Movement: She's still a wiggle worm, she's starting to get into cycles which is nice - i can almost anticipate when she'll wake up. She still hates the doppler at my appointments and literally SQUIRMS her way far away from it!
Food Cravings: I'm trying to stay away from salt & carbs but I'm starting to get my coffee cravings back! I'll have one a week preferably before my third work shift to get things going.
Sickness or Health: Besides being tired - I've found I've definitely started to get winded randomly so I've been walking a lot work and trying to get in more exercise during the days I'm off - And by exercise I mean walking around Target & the mall! 😝
Mood: Thankful - Everything is going so great recently, I'm honestly living in one of the best moments of my life right now, so we're really just so thankful!
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan is almost 3 whole pounds! 😳
Weekly Milestone: We've got baby bedding people!

Unfortunately, I didn't get pictures of Friendsgiving like I had originally planned! Instead, we had an amazing dinner surround by friends and their little ones making for a night I will never forget! At my friend's halloween party they had spiked apple cider in the crockpot and I have been looking forward to making it for our company ever since! (See recipe below) It was SUPER EASY to make - I decided to leave the bourbon out of the crockpot so people could add however much they wanted in their drink - not to mention I really didn't want to make a separate batch for me & the babe! 🍺

Overall, it was a great time! I made another crockpot sugar ham like for my family's Thanksgiving and everyone brought a dish or two so there was PLENTY of food! I seriously ate leftovers until Jimmy threw them out. He said our baby couldn't survive off stuffing & cranberry sauce. πŸ” A pregnant girl can try though! I've put together a few of the recipes I made over the past week for my family's get together and for our annual Friendsgiving. I typically use these interchangeably with Thanksgiving & Christmas too the last few years because they are super easy & super delicious!

In closing, I just wanted to share a little photo that my mom found. She sent it to my dad and he sent it to me one night while I was at work. To other people, its just a photo but for some reason it struck a sweet spot and I'm really glad he sent it my way when he did. It just makes me appreciate this journey of becoming a parent with Jimmy and I can't wait to have photos like this of our little girl and our family! πŸ’•

Happy Sunday! I hope that you all are recovering from Thanksgiving just as well as we are. And by recovering I mean, we haven't left our couch with the exception of some little Black Friday shopping yesterday & buying our Christmas tree this morning. Priorities I guess!

I was super pumped to see that everyone had such a great time with family for Thanksgiving! I enjoyed all of the smiles and the amazing food pictures I saw plastered all over social media - it makes me SUPER excited to have a repeat for our annual Friendsgiving tomorrow! Mmmmm, bring on more mashed potatoes and gravy, I've got room to grow in these maternity leggings! πŸ˜‹

We had a really great time this year with our immediate family - my sister Emily, her fiancΓ© Brian, my nephew Harden, my mom and ol' Jimbo. I was pretty sad because Jimmy's family lives so far away and my dad was working. As times goes on, these little things become pretty big things and it doesn't quite feel like the holidays celebrating without them. I feel similar about the lack of cooler weather. Luckily, I enjoy the rain when its all 'doom and gloom' here in Florida so in my opinion it was perfect Thanksgiving weather! Nothing like breaking out a comfy sweater & rain boots to enjoy a hearty turkey dinner in.

These last two years we've split the meal and designated dishes so all the cooking doesn't fall on my mom. She makes the turkey and gets to host while we bring pretty much everything to her. We had quite the spread! My sister made mashed potatoes and sweet potato casserole - I mean honestly, whats Thanksgiving without both?! My mom made stuffing, the bird & deviled eggs. And we brought 'real' green bean casserole, homemade cranberry sauce, corn casserole and sugar ham. I'm not a huge turkey fan so I always make a little crockpot ham, because again, more is better for Thanksgiving! It was surely a day to be thankful for. πŸ’› It's crazy to think next year we'll have a high chair next to us with little girl in it!

After we ate and cleaned up, Jimmy & I ventured out to Best Buy. We literally parked the car, got out, and got back in the car. This Black Friday business is no joke after Thanksgiving. There were lines and people everywhere and its not something I found too appealing. I told Jimmy he could just buy the 50 inch TV he wanted at full price so we could avoid that awful mess standing before us. 😳 Thanks, but no thanks!

I did however, venture out Friday with a girlfriend of mine and found some really cute deals (see below) that I couldn't help but pass up. And surprisingly, the stores were not as crowded as I had anticipated. I also did some online shopping from the couch which included a decent amount of maternity clothes from Target and a full bedding set from Burt's Bees Baby with a changing pad cover ( <-- sale still happening, click the link!) πŸ™ˆ Can you ever really go wrong with $5 maternity t-shirts and 65% off baby bedding?

These are just a few of toy favorites I scored during the sales:

(1) Thermal Polar Bear Top & Thermal Polar Bear Bottoms - currently still on sale for $10 a piece! Could NOT pass up on matching pajama sets this holiday season!

(2) Maternity Moto Leggings - currently still on sale for $25, cut from $34.99 😍 I can't wait until these babes get here in the mail!

(3) Bath & Body Works Tote Bag & Goodies - special run only on Black Friday - spent $30 and was able to purchase this tote and all its goodies for an additional $30, so perfect for Christmas gifts and maybe a future baby bag?

Thankfully, almost ALL of my Christmas shopping is done for! I have to buy a gift for my Secret Santa and I have a little something up my sleeve for Jimmy but other than that everything is bought and hidden! I'm also going GAGA for the Hearth & Hand Collection at Target! I promise you will see these VERY soon underneath my tree and on my dining room table for Christmas dinner! Jimmy thinks I'm batty but I just want them so bad for dinner parties and I think they are so interchangeable for next year's Thanksgiving festivities! πŸ’š I want galvanized steel EVERYTHING!

Aside from all the holiday madness, we are gearing up for our 2nd annual Friendsgiving tomorrow! Our bank account is very lucky Target only had four of those dishes yesterday instead of the ten I need or else they'd be sitting pretty on top of our gold table cloths! πŸ˜‚ I love days like tomorrow - its so nice to have our closet friends over and to catch up apart from our busy lives.

I'll be sure to make a post with all the details but for now, I'm dreaming of the smell of hot apple cider while making google eyes at our newly lit tree! πŸŽ„

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Current situation - sitting on the couch with my three favorite pups, Jimmy to my left and sipping a little "mommosa" courtesy of my hubby while we watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade! πŸ’›

My heart is so full right now, we woke up healthy and breathing and have so much to be thankful for this year including our growing little girl! As I sit here reminiscing about this past week, Jimmy and I are really so lucky to have each other and the experiences that we share. We had the amazing photography session Saturday and I'm so eagerly anticipating getting those back and ready for Christmas cards. 😍 We've also already hit the third and final trimester! I had my glucose test and appointment yesterday and everything looks amazing! Praying for good glucose result which should be back after this weekend - time is flying people!

Here's a little snippet of our 28 Week Bumpdate:

How Far Along: 28 Weeks and 4 Days - 3rd Trimester!
Total Weight Gain: +13 thus far confirmed at my doctor's appointment yesterday. Finally have this belly poking out!
Maternity Clothes: I bought a tank top for under my sweater  for our Christmas photos ↑ details & links above on my outfit!
Sleeping: Sleeping is getting better. I just wake up so tired. No matter how much I sleep, I don't ever feel completely rested. πŸ’€
Best Moment This Week: Taking holiday photos with Jimmy and witnessing two of the most beautiful weddings with friends & family on Sunday! πŸ’•
Movement: She's still moving. She enjoys pushing her feet into my sides at night.
Food Cravings: I've been trying so hard to eat healthy these past few weeks. Still stressing about my glucose results! I'll be having my Last Supper today if its positive! 😁
Sickness or Health: I've been feeling okay this week, work is starting to get pretty tiring but I expected that the further I am along. I need to invest in more compression stockings, my poor little feet are starting to throb and swell after getting home!
Mood: This week I've been feeling pretty good! When we got our pictures taken, it felt so bittersweet that its going to be our last Christmas just the two of us! πŸŽ„πŸŽ…
Pregnancy Wisdom: Baby Morgan's lungs are almost mature and she's about the size of a head of cauliflower!
Weekly Milestone: We're slowly moving in nursery furniture into her room! 😍

I also wanted to congratulate two couples who tied their knots this weekend! Congratulations newlyweds, Mr. & Mrs Fox and to Mr. & Mrs. Nungesser! All of you looked so amazing and are seriously wedding goals if Jimmy and I ever decide to renew our vows! I don't plan to elaborate much, I'll just let the pictures do the talking how much of a beautiful day it actually was surrounded by family, friends & the love of my life! πŸ’˜

Most handsome wedding date!

We had the best time just being in the moment with these gorgeous couples and I'm so happy & excited for their lives to begin together! As far as for today - I plan on finishing up a little honey mustard and brown sugar ham in the crockpot, making 'real' green bean casserole, corn casserole and 'real' cranberry sauce. YUM! Get in my tum! We're having dinner at my parents house today while missing our family in Connecticut! Sunday, we will be preparing our annual Friendsgiving dinner. Food & festivity - I can't wait!

So cheers to a Happy Thanksgiving from us to you & yours! πŸ’•
